The first phase of the Green Tractor Scheme was launched by the Punjab government in 2024, in which lakhs of farmers who met the eligibility criteria completed their registration process. After which the Punjab government selected 9500 lucky farmers through transparent digital balloting, who were then successfully provided with a subsidy of Rs.10 lakh for the purchase of a tractor. And the Punjab government received immense appreciation from the farmers for this initiative.
And the farmers requested that the second phase of this scheme should also be started soon. However, keeping in mind the interest of the farmers, the Punjab government decided to start the second phase. And keeping in mind the interest of the farmers, the Punjab government has increased the number of tractors this time from 9500 to 20,000 so that the maximum number of farmers can benefit from this scheme. Eligibility Criteria For Applying In The Second Phase
Because the Punjab govt is going to start receiving applications for the second phase, it is very important for farmers to know the eligibility criteria for applying in the second phase. Because to make this scheme transparent, strict eligibility criteria have been set by the Punjab govt. So that only those who meet all the eligibility criteria can benefit from this scheme, which is as follows:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
- The applicant must not be a defaulter of any bank or government financial institution.
- The applicant must not have acquired a tractor from any scheme before this.
- The applicant’s land record must be available in the Land Record Center.
- The applicant must not be involved in any illegal activity.
- The applicant must never have been involved in anti-state activities.
- The applicant must own agricultural land between one acre and 50 acres.
- The applicant must have a Pakistani identity card.
- The applicant must have a mobile phone number registered in his/her name.
- The applicant’s PSER survey must be completed.
Complete Registration Procedure In Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2
To enhance the joys of Independence Day, the collection of applications for Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2 is being started from August 14, 2025. All such farmers who meet all the eligibility criteria can submit their application from August 14, 2025, the procedure of which I am going to provide to you in detail below.
Like the first phase, this time too, applications for the Green Tractor Scheme will be submitted in two ways. In the first method, farmers who meet all the eligibility criteria will be able to submit their application online by visiting the official website of the Green Tractor Scheme.
While in the second method, all the farmers who meet the eligibility criteria but cannot complete the online registration will be able to submit their applications offline by visiting any of the nearest Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension offices in their district. It should be noted that the application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Deputy Director of Agriculture Tehsil or the Agriculture Department.
Balloting And Tractor Supply
After the receipt of applications is complete, the Punjab government will start the formal scrutiny of the applications. After the scrutiny is complete, a computerized, transparent digital balloting will be completed. Within which 20,000 successful farmers will be selected. Successful farmers will be informed through SMS or call, after which the farmers will deposit their share of the amount to the relevant representatives or relevant dealers. After a few days, the tractor will be delivered to the farmers.
It should be remembered that if any farmer, despite being successful, does not deposit his share of the amount by the deadline, he will be declared disqualified, and a new candidate will be given a chance in his place.
